HPFD Firefighter Hit By Car

Firefighter Scot Stanley was hit by a passing motorist on interstate 40, while on the scene of an automobile accident. As a result of the accident he will be out of work with a leg injury. It is unknown at this time how long. The driver of the vehicle was charged with failure to move over.

Scott is a firefighter on E26 B-Shift. Keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

Capt. Ronald Lee Kennedy

The High Point Fire Department mourns the loss of Ret.Capt. Ronald Lee Kennedy. He passed away November 5, 2008. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Former Chief Passes Away

The Fire Department lost one of its former Chiefs. Chief Hannis Thompson passed away Thursday at age 76 after a battle with cancer.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Thompson family.
